Thai New Year 2026 For individual and family
Dear Beloved Friends,
Plum Village Thailand warmly invites you to join our Songkran Retreat, a celebration of the Thai New Year in the light of mindfulness. This is a family-oriented retreat for all generations, where adults can return to their breath and children can play and learn in mindfulness.
Registration for this journey will open on March 10. We invite you to mark your calendars and prepare your hearts to join our Sangha.
Date & Time: Friday, April 10 (10:00 AM) – Tuesday, April 14, 2026 (1:00 PM)
Location: Thai Plum Village International Practice Center, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima.
Language: The retreat will be conducted in Thai with translation provided in English.
Capacity: 25 international friends.

Programs for Children and Teens
While adults attend the Dharma talks, children and teenagers will have the opportunity to practice mindfulness through age-appropriate play and activities. We warmly invite parents to participate by taking turns as lay volunteers in the children’s program. This is a beautiful way for families to nourish their practice and spend meaningful time together. For children who require one-on-one attention or special care, we kindly ask that a parent or guardian remains with them throughout the retreat to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Transportation
Travel with the service van
To support your journey, Plum Village provides a service. The van will depart from the parking area at Mo Chit BTS Station (opposite Chatuchak Park) at 6:30 AM. For the return journey, the van will bring you back to the same location. The fee is 600 THB per trip (or 1,200 THB for a round trip).
Travel on your own
For those traveling to the village by your own means, we look forward to welcoming you between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Arriving during this period allows you enough time to settle in—to register, find your room, and park your vehicle—so that we may all enjoy lunch together in mindfulness.

Supporting the monastery
The Monastery is a non-profit practice center. All activities are therefore based on your contributions only. We look forward to receiving your support during the time you stay in the Monastery. Your contributions will support the Monastery to cover the monastics’ daily expenses like food, electricity, water, visas, and health care, too.
To help us cover the costs of your stay, including nourishing meals and accommodations, we suggest a contribution of 3,000 – 5,000 THB per person. Your support allows our monastery to continue offering a space of peace and practice for all.

Bank Transfer: You may transfer the contribution (and service van fee, if applicable) to the account below and attach your transfer slip to the online registration form.

Cash on Arrival: Alternatively, you may choose to provide your contribution in cash in Thai Baht at the registration desk upon your arrival at the village.

As the Thai Plum Village International Practice Center is a non-profit organization, we do not receive support from commercial entities. Our community flourishes and sustains itself primarily through the generosity of our friends.
Therefore, should you have any health concerns or personal matters that require medical treatment during your stay with us in Thailand, we kindly ask for your understanding in taking full responsibility for all related expenses.
