Raising the Main Pillar Ceremony

Dear Friends

On the morning of April 4th, 2026, under the first morning light, the brothers and the sisters of Thai Plum Village, our lay practitioners, the construction team, and iBSC students from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) gathered at the site of our new meditation hall for the Raising the Main Pillar Ceremony.We began by chanting together, joining our palms and walking peacefully around the construction area. Each step we bring peace, every breath we bring joy to the ground. 

At the site of the Main Pillar, we presented flowers and offerings to serve as the spiritual foundation for our new Meditation Hall.

As we chanted the words “We Are Truly Present,” we offered this aspiration:

“May this practice center and its Fourfold Sangha be supported by the Triple Gems and Holy Beings. May it be well-protected from the eight misfortunes and the three paths of suffering, remaining a refuge for all who seek the path of transformation.”
