REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL WAKE UP RETREAT 2026“ONENESS WITH THE EARTH”

Dear beloved young friends,
We are happy to announce that registration of our annual Wake Up Retreat for young mindfulness pratitioners aged 18-40 is open. The Wake Up retreat titled “Oneness with the Earth" will be organized from May 29th to June 4th, 2026, at Thai Plum Village International Practice Center.
IN THIS RETREAT:
Sitting and walking meditation with guidance from Thai Plum Village monastics
Live talks offered by senior monastics
Spaces to connect with people our age as we look deeply into the challenges and joys that we experience in our daily lives, including specific spaces for living joyfully and simply, mindful consumption, heal and preserve Mother Earth.
Listening to one another in a meditation concert offered by the monastics.
Below is the information for those interested in joining the retreat:
Languages: Our primary language is English, and translations into several languages, including Vietnamese and Thai, will be available.
The number of retreatants: 350 friends (aged from 18 to 40).
Instructions for registration: Please click on the link that follows to complete the registration form. The link will be open on January 31st, 2026 (3:00 P.M. GMT+7, Thailand time).
Arrival date: May 29th, 2026 - The Monastery’s representatives will pick you up at the airport on that day between 12:00 P.M. and 03:00 P.M. Therefore, please kindly book your flight that arrives at the airport before 1:00 P.M.
Departure date: June 4th, 2026 - Drop-off transportation service will be available from
the Monastery to the airports. The bus will leave the Monastery at 08:00 A.M, so please kindly book your flight that departs after 03:00 P.M.
Notes:
The Monastery is not responsible for your flight ticket if you decide to settle it before a successful registration is confirmed.
You are recommended to arrive and leave the Monastery on the listed arrival dates. We may refuse to enroll any case that comes too late on May 29th, 2026, or any other day earlier or later than this day.
The monastery will have a period of monastic practice, so extending your stay will not be possible after June 4th, 2026.
To guarantee community practice and activities, the Monastery only receives participants five years old or older. Participants under 18 years old need to be accompanied by their parents or a legal guardian.
Please check your passport expiration date before registering.

A. REGISTERING TO VISIT THE MONASTERY
To visit the Monastery, these are must-haves:

To register, please follow the link and fill in the form: Breathe and Smile.
The link will be available here and open on January 31st, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. (GMT+7, Thailand time) and will close automatically when fully booked.
Please note that all individual registrations have to go through our system (we do not take email reservations).
Necessary details for registering: email address, date of birth, telephone number, Viber, WhatsApp, or Zalo number (to be convenient to pick you up at the Thai airport), valid passport number, etc.
Confirmation emails:
After successfully registering on the link above, you will immediately receive an email notification that shows you have successfully registered and provides instructions for you to send us your flight ticket details. You are asked to read thoroughly all the information and all the attached files.
Your flight ticket details should be sent to us before February 27th, 2026. On February 27th, 2026, if your flight ticket has not been sent to us accordingly, your registration will be considered CANCELLED.
Health insurance and travel insurance: Depending on your needs, you may consider purchasing health and/or travel insurance when traveling to Thailand. You can consider purchasing travel insurance before traveling abroad (to protect your benefits if you require medical assistance abroad). You can purchase travel insurance packages at a low cost - these packages cover general medical treatment while in Thailand.
To co-create the calm and stable energy of our retreats, you are recommended to arrive and leave the Monastery on the listed arrival dates.
Arrival date:
For participants who registered “to be picked up at the airport”:
The Monastery’s car will pick you up from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang Airport (DMK) from 12:00 P.M. to 03:00 P.M. on Friday, May 29th, 2026.
You are suggested to select a flight that arrives in Thailand before 1:00 P.M. If possible, please select one that arrives at about 12:00 P.M., so that after being picked up, you will have more time to rest and be ready for the activities.
If you are now living in Thailand or arrive in Thailand before May 29th and cannot arrange your means of transportation to come to the monastery, you can also register “to be picked up at the airport”. Please arrive at BKK airport between 10:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. on May 29th, 2026.
For participants who registered “will arrive in my own means of transportation” (not having registered “to be picked up at the airport”):
Please arrive at the Monastery on Friday, February 13th, 2026, from 3:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
We may refuse to enroll any case that comes too late on or any other day earlier or later than this day.
Please note:
To help our pick-up team: Please buy a Thai SIM card (or use Wifi) to stay in contact with the Monastery and our pick-up team.
Attention: Around a week before the arrival date, our transportation team will contact you, so please set your messaging application to be able to receive messages from strangers.
Upon welcoming you at the appointed assembly point, our pick-up car will go directly to the Monastery. Please wear a face mask for the whole trip; the car will stop once for toilets at a pre-planned public place.
Pick-up fee (between the Airport and the Monastery)
The pick-up fee (by van or bus) is around 600 Thai Baht per person per way (or 1,200 Thai Baht per person for two-ways).
If the Monastery needs to arrange a taxi pick-up, the fee is 2,300 - 2,500 Thai Baht/taxi. If you travel with other friends, the taxi fee will be shared.
Departure date: June 4th, 2026 - Our drop-off car will leave the Monastery at 08:00 A.M. To avoid traffic jams, you are suggested to select a flight that departs after 03:00 P.M.
Except for medical emergencies, please do not go out of the Monastery.
Please clean your own space regularly according to the instructions of the Monastery.
If you are currently taking any medication, please make sure that you bring it with you.
In case there are not enough rooms, we would like to invite you to stay in the tents prepared by the monastery.
Participants under 18 years old need to be accompanied by their parents or a legal guardian.
As a Buddhist monastery, the internet is not available, so please kindly arrange everything before coming to practice at the monastery.

D. MAKING A CONTRIBUTION
The Monastery is a non-profit practice center. All activities are therefore based on your contributions only. We look forward to receiving your support during the time you stay in the Monastery. Your contributions will support the Monastery to cover the monastics’ daily expenses like food, electricity, water, visas, and health care, too.
For the time being, the estimated expense for your food and accommodation (excluding transportation expense) during the International Wake Up Retreat, Oneness with the Earth is 6,000 Thai Baht per person (for a 6-night stay).
Contributions can be made in:
Cash (Thai Baht or USD) at our Registration office when you arrive.
Bank transfer (Thai Baht Account).

Credit cards are NOT available.
Please read the information carefully below to prepare for the best visit to Thailand:
If the retreat is unable to take place for whatever reason, the monastery will not refund your flight ticket. The monastery will notify you via email of the retreat's cancellation.
If the situation of COVID-19 becomes complicated and activities like retreats must be canceled, the Monastery will not be allowed to receive and host guests. Please note that we will not be responsible for your flight ticket and hotel booking. We are sorry for the inconvenience. In the case of cancellation, an email of notice will be sent to you.
Images and videos from the retreat will be used for storage and posting on social networking sites and the monastery's website.
Please note: Thai Plum Village Practice Center is a non-profit organization without any support from commercial establishments. The funding is provided solely by donations from those with kind hearts. Therefore, should you develop any health problems or personal issues (including the case of being infected by Covid-19) that require treatment during your practice and stay in Thailand, please be aware that you will be fully responsible for any expenses incurred.
