Celebrating the Day of Bathing the Baby Buddha | Vesak 2025

Dear friends!

Almost two thousand six hundred years ago, a royal baby was born, carrying with him a lot of seeds of love and understanding. Having hopes for life’s values of beauty, the young prince maintained his gentle smile while dedicating his whole being to sitting still in the miraculous shade of the bodhi tree, realizing the truths and truly living with the truths. The eighty years of that teacher’s life, Buddha Shakya Muni, is the cool water that offers itself to every place.

To celebrate his fresh presence on earth, a ceremony for Bathing the Baby Buddha was organized at Thai Plum Village in the retreat for young friends titled ‘You Are; Therefore, I Am.’

Let us join our palms like a lotus bud to express our gratitude as we mark the event that the Baby Buddha within ourselves is growing up.
